In order to register a vehicle you will need to send your application to DVLA, Swansea, SA99 1BE. You will also need to present documentation to confirm your identity.
V55/4 Application to Register and Tax a brand new vehicle
- registration fee of £55
- fee for vehicle tax (the rates of vehicle tax for all vehicle types are available on the website www.gov.uk/vehicle-tax-rate-tables)
- valid insurance certificate or cover note for vehicles registered with a Northern Ireland address (downloaded or faxed copies are acceptable, however photocopies are not)
- identity documents (copies not originals)
- evidence of type approval* (Certificate of Conformity)- dating evidence from the manufacturer or any documentation relating to the vehicle. (COC or copy of VIN Plate)
- declaration that a vehicle is new form V267
